Title: Dig for Victory (DfV) 2023
Post by: Andy P on May 15, 2023, 10:03:47 PM
Dear all,

This email is sent to Bristol members as well as the NF&S members (I do appreciate that the NF&S members area is a long way away but DfV is a once a year event of nostalgic, focused on the wartime 40's (and more later times) and might be interesting enough for a hotel, B&B or camping trip.

Please contact me if you wish to attend and join in the Bristol Area Series 2 Club line up on either of the days, or both. There is local onsite camping available.

In the website link below, please go to the Get Involved and Vehicle option, complete ALL the boxes relevant to your plans and wait for the response/confirmation on what to do next.

Please note there will be military, re-enactments, likely a 40'S RAF fly past and with local council permission an 88" firing off during the day.

This will be a big event this year as DfV has been off line since 2018. So some catching up to do.

Please email [email protected] that you are attending and for either the Sat, Sun or both days so I know who is coming.

This is not an event organised or led by the Bristol Area but rather we are part of a bigger event organised by Shoplands.

Kind Regards
Andy

The Dig For Victory Show is a fantastic 1940's family festival held in the beautiful North Somerset countryside, exploring the turbulent yet thought-provoking wartime years.  Come and enjoy military vehicles, re-enactors, live music, dancing, history talks, vintage stalls, delicious local food including our lovely vintage tea room and bar, arena events, our 1940s farm, a vintage fun-fair and children's trail and much, much more.

The festival has close links to the local community, it has raised £25,000 for charity to date and attracts all ages from across the South West.

This event is organized almost entirely by volunteers. With special thanks to members of the team including the Western Branch of the Invicta Military Vehicle Preservation Society, The Shopland Collection
