Flywheel Ring Gear?

Anyone know of anyone in Norfolk that would remove and replace a ring gear on a flywheel for me?

Any machine shop should be able to do it. Its quite easy to do yourself if you are so inclined. The details are in the workshop manual.

Never actually done one before.
I have cold chisels and gas torch ???

The only tricky bit is having a nice very flat fireproof workbench to work with. I've got a piece of 1/4" boiler plate I use for this game. You can get the ring gear plenty hot enough quite easily as its only got to go to about 220 degrees C. I'm banned from using the oven and dishwasher these days for my Land Rover repairs, but it cooks well in a standard oven!

Flywheel in the freezer overnight ring gear in the oven for 1/2 hour at max and it should just slip on.

Thanks for the offer, I might try the freezer & oven method but if that fails I may be in touch.

Alan surely the ring gear on the barbie and the fly wheel in the ice bucket (add salt to get a proper freezing mixture and put the flywheel in a poly bag) not with the beer/prosecco at the same time.
