I would say undoubtably yes they are getting bigger. Although we now have an 18 ton limit (increasingly ignored by artics) through our village, tractors usually with matching huge trailers are exempt. The very sharp 90° bend in the main road doesn't seem to hinder them they just smash into posts protecting the footpath, uprouting them once every couple of months on average.

See its got greedy boards fitted so what would the gross weight be with a load of peas? (load of peas came into work 7 tonnes overloaded) Anybody ever met a quadtrac on the road (wide grass verge to deviate round it) or a combine with bed attached (A17 over Cranwell top bed touching both verges could be interesting I though if we meet anything coming) This is Lincolnshire.
