More info needed, I think.

What device are you using? Windows PC/laptop, Android tablet, iPad, phone????

What browser are you using? Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox or a YouTube app etc.????

It's probably a setting on your browser or app, possibly changed with an update, but I'm sure if you give more detail someone will be able to point you in the right direction   :tiphat

Ah, that's one browser I don't use.

Hopefully a Firefox expert will be along soon.

Meantime, you could try Microsoft Edge (it should be pre-installed on Windows) - I'm not advising migrating to Edge, just useful for testing to see if YouTube works on your system   :tiphat

All working fine on my Laptop - running Windows 10 (latest version) and Firefox.
Firefox did an upgrade a couple of days ago.

I've noticed a fall-off in network/internet speed these past few days.
Everything works, the problem is with the network, just running a bit slow.

When did you last clean-up your PC ???
It's worth running one of many PC optimisers every month or so.

I use this one Advanced System Repair (https://www.iobit.com/en/advancedsystemcarefree.php)
Worth paying a few $ extra for the pro version. Been using this for the last 18 months or so on all my computers and it does a good job.

You've not installed a browser add-on or extension have you?  Try opening the YouTube video in a private or incognito window (add-ons don't work in them), does that help.

Run Firefox in 'safe' mode (menu/help/Restart with add-ons disabled).

I've been using private window as said above and works well :first
when I looked at add ons disabled I got this message-
"Are you sure you want to disable all add-ons and restart?"
and I was unsure if I might create other issues :shakeinghead so just use private window

Grasp the bull by the horns ... disable the addons and the world around you won't collapse.

On my Firefox I just have Ghostery enabled.

This allows me, if I wish, to browse the Daily Mail website, but it blocks all the adverts and other *&%^$.

The various ad blockers I have something else protecting the computer.
And here's the thing, if you have multiple instances of adware and virus blockers active - it slows the whole computer down  :shakeinghead
You may have some active and not realise it.
The built-in protection in Windows 10 is very good and you don't really need any extra virus/malware protection running.
