Rob Owen
« on: July 02, 2022, 11:28:26 AM »

Can anyone tell me what sort of backlog Rob Owen has with bulkhead deliveries these days? He doesn't seem to be the most prolific responder to emails so not having much luck getting an update on the bulkhead I ordered at the start of the year.

Does he typically send word when production has started or is the first sign of completion when you get asked for the final payment before shipping?

I wanted my new bulkhead in June 2020. I rang in November 2019, ordered it for the specific date and paid the deposit. Then the lurgy panic but it was only a week late and the proprietor of ASV who was fitting it had to cancel his holiday. The bulkhead turned up at his premises as promised.

I might have to give them a call then. I was told 4-5 months after payment of the deposit when I was enquiring last December. Got that paid in January so it's now sort of around delivery time in theory.

I'm not in too much of a rush, I just want to be able to plan ahead a bit since I'm only at home and able to work on the Landy relatively infrequently. I also lost a year on the rebuild after Tony Wood decided to quit rebuilding bulkheads whilst mine was in his queue.
