PCD? Remind me!
« on: January 09, 2023, 04:06:59 PM »

Hi,

Will somebody remind of the PCD of Series wheel studs, pretty please?

I'm hoping it's 6.5".

Tried "THIS" and it only goes back to '83 Defender but that does come up as 5x6.5.

As I fitted my old wheels and mud tyres from my 300tdi Defender to my Series 2, I can definitely confirm that the pcds are either similar or the same as makes no difference :)

Hi All,

Thanks for replies.

The Secondary Question is about VAT.

I have ascertained that NEW cars, that have been adapted (welding is expected) for use by a disabled person, are exempt from VAT. I'm guessing that the VAT saving on a WAV, equates to the cost of adapting it. ???

I would like to know if one can claim VAT exemption on the cost of parts and labour to adapt an existing vehicle, for use by a disabled person. Visions of a Series 2 with powered tail lift.

Many yonks ago, HMG promised that Purchase Tax would never be charged on car seat belts. At that time, seat belts were sold separately, and fitted after the sale of the car. Two bits of legislation put the Kibosh on that. ... VAT and Type Approval.
