"Synthetic" diesel is well catered for.

Mostly coming from vegetable oil in one form or another. A truly sustainable fuel.

A very interesting watch, thanks for posting this.

I very much like this idea as they say electric conversion is not everyones choice, I personally would not feel the same driving my classics without the original spec engine as otherwise what is the point.

Lets just hope they can get some traction with government, it is going to be tough with the ban everything brigade and the electrify everything brigade not to menton the existing oil companys.

Interesting that it is cheaper to refine than oil.... :RHD

Great video and has put my mind at rest a bit as I've got 2 petrol land rovers as was worrying whether petrol would still be around by the time they are finished.
Thanks for posting this  :o

Perhaps you should watch this one as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d0MPg7DxbY

Rudolf Diesel invented his engine originally to run on peanut oil or any other plant based oil.

An interesting video, and it gives hope for the future  :cheers

Isn't it a pity the oil companies didn't see the writing on the wall decades ago. With their considerable resources, had they started working for this kind of energy future we might all be using it now instead of talking about it. But because they didn't see or didn't want to see the end of oil, we were left to the mercy of political short-termism policy.

Also interesting to hear that some governments are stopping EV subsidies, Sweden being one, making already expensive EVs much more expensive. There must be a lesson there

It all makes me feel that this fanatical obsession with battery power could have been avoided if government & industry had got their acts together.

I used the term fanatical obsession with EVs because of the violence reportedly used against some 4X4 & SUVs. Not everyone I know, but there are some to the left of the environmental campaign groups who think we shouldn't eat meat, cut down trees, build roads and we should all ride bicycles. OK, I exaggerate a little but you get my drift.

This new energy industry, and others like Hydrogen, deserves some subsidy of their own.
