You tube!:
« on: May 05, 2020, 07:49:59 PM »

Just watched a you tube video - Bernard Kerr, Land Rover Series 1 Drifting.
I don't know where to start! 1957 bastardised S1, hideous paint job, horrible oversized engine drowned in easy start, (might even have been filmed during the lockdown as it's only just been uploaded). Such a painful experience watching this guy with more money than sense thrash this old Landy about. If anyone wants a lesson in why people might be opposed to green laning, take a look at this. Apparently he's a talent on 2 wheels - I wish he'd stick to them.
Not for the faint hearted!

It was more about a poor attitude to green laning, surely we all have an interest in that?

Such a shame to see that. It is nice to see how capable a series one, even in such a molested condition, can do on the rough stuff though.

Dubious legality there. Is that reg the NZ one? Not recognised by DVLA so what's with driving it on any road never mind green ones?

This channel has quite a lot of Series 1 and 2 content and are a bit more sympathetic to them than the chap in the top video.

I can vouch for the channel mentioned by Uffddd being a good channel to watch in lock down.  The latest upload even has a series 2 in it 😊

He irritated me from the start. My irritation got worse when he tried to start the vehicle.

I gave up when he knocked  off his spotlight and cracked his windscreen.

Poor little rich kid?

I just hope he doesn't have any offspring  :shakeinghead
