I changed the number plates to more age appropriate plates plus I relocated them to their more correct position. I never liked the old plates being on the front of the bumper not least because the plate was slightly wider than the bumper. I think the black and silver plates are much nicer than the white and yellow.

Ambulance duty !

I was out walking the dog, got a call to say my wife had been out running and had twisted her ankle badly, two miles into the Forest...... so I fired up the Quattro and off we trundled, blues and twos....

 :whistle :whistle

Next task to a trip to town, between her twisted ankle and my toothache, we've used up the stock of pain-killers.

It looks like you've converted your sauna into a Land Rover workshop. :-X

Not been out for a week or so, but today, drained the water, put some new antifreeze in, and had a drive around to mix the coolant up! Very misty here in our valley, but along the tops, above the mist and sunny with clear blue skies. Nice drive.

Thank you, I’ll never recoup the expenditure but that’s not what it’s all about. Defender seats go in next week and a rear step. I will feel much happier when the blue smoke problem is fixed but I don’t know when that’s likely to be.

Delivered a gearbox from the donor Discovery to a chap 20 miles away....  put Tonka into the shed on return, to take the Hi-Torque starter out and tighten up the connector on the "trigger wire" to the solenoid. It keeps working loose with the embarassing result of a failure to start. Luckily this time I was on a slope so a "bump start" was possible.

Put the repainted and fixed seatbox back in, had a bit of jiggery pokery to get everthing to line up as I had replaced the corroded front of the rear tub with a YRM part, but everything is almost perfectly square and equal.  :-* :-* :-*

Just got to put some more c/s rivets in, then fill and paint.

Renewed the insurance!
Not sure why, as Pickles hasn't moved more that about 50 miles in the last 12 months!

Finished the sealant, applied rubber strip and retaining strips after drilling holes for the wires. Brought the screen in to the kitchen to "cure" for a day or 2.
Sorted the electrics and aux dash, and all working ready to fit the screen.
