It seems strange to me that all the reference information on 142800016 has been removed considering that it is the only original Series 2 from
Mar 1958 for members doing restorations.

Cheers  Richard

It has not been removed Richard - it is still live on the old forum.

With all the moving and setting up, it just hasn’t been transferred over quite yet but I’m pretty sure it will be :cheers

Nothing has been removed ...

We/I can't easily transfer data/posts over from the old forum.

It's a mammoth task,
It would help if people who have such information/topic starters could start off new topics here...

I read far more than I am likely to post, but it looks fine to me.   ;)

It would help if people who have such information/topic starters could start off new topics here...

Old topics, such as restorations can be copied across from the old forum. I've successfully re-instated Richard's, Boris' and my own.

Photos can be re-instated if they have been uploaded to your gallery or are linked from a third-party hosting site (that is still active). It helps if the topic contains just photos or hyperlinks to photos and if they are all the same size, but there is nothing retrospectively that can be done to fix this; it just effects what can be re-instated and the time it takes to get the best result.

If you would like your restoration to be re-instated then please create a new topic on the Your restorations board with the (old) subject title and 'please re-instate this topic' in the message body. It looks better if the original author of the topic is shown.

The old uns gone into monochrome now !, I visited this morning to grab a couple of pics I put on there a while back to illustrate an answer on here...
The 'mourning' scheme is rather tastefully subdued....  ;)

A request when a mod has some time.

Please could you copy over the Series 2 timeline thread - it's the one I most often have to go back to the old forum for to get dates right when answering questions.

The chassis numbers explained thread would also be handy - haven't memorised all the export versions!

Thanks

Alec

Just a descriptive grammar thing. In the current header it says; The (new) Series 2 Club Forum. Would it not be correct to say; The Series 2 Club (new) Forum

I am not saying it needs or has to be changed, just a point of accuracy(?). Methinks it can be read either way, but...

I'm not sure if this is a change, but I have noticed that on my iPhone the banner images display directly under the 'Show new replies to your posts.' link.

Because the tallest image is on the left hand side this sits directly below it and also seems to scale to about the same length as the text. With my fat fingers it is quite difficult to hit the new replies link without zooming in, so I end up accidentally opening the Wikipedia page rather a lot!
