Me too, it defaults to mobile site every time the page is opened.

We have installed the SMF mobile theme.
It seems that this mod auto detects the device logging on to the forum.

There is an option at the bottom of the page that reverts you back to the green forum theme.

I've not had chance to test this out yet.

Are we saying that it doesn't remember your prefereance every time you login from a phone/tablet ???

Something we'll have to check and see if there's a workround.
The other option is to remove this mod and search for another that doesn't do this.

Yes, it reverts, and not just when you log out. If you leave yourself permanently logged in then it still has to be reset every time you come back to the screen.

As Alec says, it doesn’t remember your choice.

As I said before, I’m not sure there’s any real need for a simplified version at all, but if someone has a desire for it then it should be for them to opt “in” rather than those of us that don’t want it to have to opt “out” every time we visit.

I agree with Alec and Glen.
Don’t like the mobile version being the default every time.
Otherwise it’s going very well.  :first

I agree ...

The mobile theme should not be forced on users  :shakeinghead

I use my iPhone and iPad for looking at and working on the forum when I'm out and about.
I can work the forum just fine with this green theme - I get to see all the pictures etc.
However, I can see the need for a "lite" theme for those who prefer.

Before the mini crash on the 5th I think we had a selectable mobile theme.
And after the crash this was "lost" and I installed a mobile theme, but probably not the one I used before.
Sorry, I will have to search for a mobile theme which users can select and not one forced on mobile phone users.

Alan, you should really join the Series Two Club as then you get a little green Land Rover under your name.

Well, the “default” mobile theme has stopped. For that, you have my sincere thanks.  :)
