^^^^ I tend to agree. Craddocks.

I note that today, if you click on the detailed product description, it says "Low Stock, may need to be ordered".  Again misleading. They have NO stock, it will need to be ordered. A better description would be "Leadtime approx 7 days" or some such.  Better would be a real-time link to their stock system... and a stock system that automatically re-orders when the stock drops below X or reaches nil...

Was saddened to hear the news that Arthur Goddard passed away peacefully on the morning of 11th August aged 101 years.  Arthur Goddard was a rare survivor of the management team who designed, built and developed the Land-Rover in 1947-48. He was Project Engineer, responsible for turning the original ideas into a working, reliable, financially viable vehicle for the post-War world. In doing so he helped save the Rover Company from collapse, and also helped create a legend that's lasted for over 60 years.  Once the vehicle was a success, but before it became a worldwide cult, Arthur moved on to other parts of the UK motor industry, and so history tended to forget his vital contribution to 'The Best 4x4x By Far'.  Condolences to his family and friends.  Had the pleasure of meeting him when he was 95 and became the patron of our club here in Australia. A wonderful character

Surely if you named the supplier instead of calling them ‘the usual suspects’ - others could read your warning, and save themselves potential grief.
Just sayin’ like🤔

Completely agree!  Of course we should "name & shame", just as we should (and often do) hand out compliments where a company has been excellent.

We are a well-respected club, with around 2500 members and, I suspect, have some influence with suppliers of Series-based products and spares.  If a supplier is not aware, or not interested, in our members as customers, then we should be telling our members and forum users to avoid that company.....

So who pays when you run into the back of my L405 Range Rover and the replacement cost is £50K? I'm not sure that many people have that sort of spare cash.

Chris.
or when a unisured drive runs into the back of yours which is also uninsured by yourself ???

I'm very much of the same opinion Calum, insurance is a massive scam as far as I'm concerned and should be entirely optional.

Hello all. As has been said before, you only find out if the cover offered is accurate when you have to make a claim. Then all the excuses under the sun get rolled out. I hate all insurance companies and brokers, not just Adrian Flux and Zurich who are top of the tree when it comes to trumped up nonsense spouting. My rule of thumb now ? cheapest quote possible, accuracy ? who cares, they will wangle out of it anyway. Just renewed another vehicle policy on Monday, £35 ! for the year. In my opinion the UK should adopt the insurance system as per countries like Brazil  -entirely optional. This is of course my opinion and as you can probably gather I have had a couple of very bitter tasting encounters with the aforementioned idiots. I am obviously aware of the implications of not having insurance, my feelings may mellow with time, but Adrian Flux and Zurich can whistle for all eternity !
