Hi Exile,

Where was that picture taken? Unlikely, but I believe they have camels in Australia, and I've met them in Arabia.

Slightly OT, but while I was at RAAF Butterworth, but on an RAF SAM site (see my AVATAR) we lived on Penang Island, and caught the ferry to the Mainland, then were bused to the Ausie base.

One day, the bus was overtaken by a herd of elephants in a hurry. One never has a camera when one needs one.

I was also in at the death of a 5-foot cobra. Our Squadron snake expert had declared it was a water snake, and held it down with a broom. The snake then revealed it's true colours, with the "expert" screaming for somebody to fetch a spade. The snake was duly despatched, and the spectators wandered back to work.

I later despatched an unidentified (and smaller) snake that appeared near my feet, in the MT office. A few squirts from a CTC fire extinguisher soon sorted that problem. On another occasion, I shot down an airbourne insect (like wasp, but a lot bigger) with a CTC extinguisher.  Buzz .. squirt ... silence ... then a bang when it hit the floor. Shame, I don't like killing things, but I can be persuaded.
