After yesterdays refitting of the injectors I took YOD for a drive today, actually it was a tip run with a load of garden stuff.

Much quiter and smoother and a noise that sounded like a tappet has gone.  (The guy that serviced the injectors did say that there was a broken spring inside one).

On checking when home i had a bit of a leak where the pipe screws onto no 1 injector, i managed to nip it up but i have bought a new pipe.

Interesting as I found 2 different current numbers for the pipe, descriptions for both say that they fit S2 and S3 one from my S2 parts book and one from my S3, the engine is a 5mb imperial engine so I have gone with the number from the S3 parts book.

Peter that sounds lovely, is that a 2 1/4 ( what else could it be ? ) makes my 3 bearing one sound very noisy. Is the 5 bearing generally a quieter engine ?

We have a 3 bearing diesel too, that actually lives in Burncross not too far from you, in the past it has always been quieter than mine and yes it is a 5 bearning

When I had a 5 Bearing S3 it was the first my local LR dealer had come across and they remarked how quiet it was compared with a 3 bearing one
