What would have been the civilian fit for the late 60s

Late to the party, but I believe these were fitted to my '69 IIA, when - or very - nearly new.

The same as gcc130's "original fitment".

When only one of the pair works :thud it still provides a decent amount of light.

Jus done a little thinking , there are dual colour led s white/ yellow for side lights , with the appropriate flasher for the indicator side could these be used with a white lens as rear indicator/ reverse light in the existing rear indicator fitting , wired so that white led is energised by the reverse switch ,  would remove the need for bolt ons
Chris

I did that for my front indicators - they are sidelights, but when the indicator comes on, it turns off the white sidelights. With a clear lens, it looks good.

Chris.
Are they legal for the rear of a vehicle ? Wouldn't be indicating if  reversing I think , if they are legal I might well do it ,

Hmmmm....

I've just looked at the regs for reversing lights, it would seem that my yellow Hella foglight had better be a "worklight"  :stars
