Hi again,

The aluminium checker-plate thingy, was the ramp supplied by Social Services. The flip-over flap can be clearly seem ... it folded back and down over the ramp, so that the front door could be closed. The flap was only required by a wheelchair.

I think these ramps are bespoke, to fit individual circumstance, made by a local entrepreneur, which suggests that he either has a wide folding press, or knows somebody who does.
