I would agree with  Mr Pickles on this.

They are totally unsuitable for the Agricultural Drawbar, and I doubt the factory would ever have supplied a pto vehicle like that.

Personally, looking at the new Paddock member fitted to my present S3 project, I do not think I would trust them to help locate an adjustable drop plate either. They are only spot/tack welded on 2 of the 6 flats.

I have never seen a S2 kitted out for the Agri. Drawbar but on the S1 crossmember the 3 spacers are 11/4" square [approx] and each is welded on all 4 sides

I have an unwelded Series 2A crossmember and that is how it is done on that.

On the attached photos you can see 3 captive nuts on the bottom of the new rear half chassis from Paddocks. I've been wondering what they're for for a while but since I couldn't think of anything I thought I'd turn it to the forum. Any clues?

Thanks
Malcolm

P.s. I've just realised the title makes me think of American 'truck nuts'. Has anyone ever fitted them to a Landy?

Just be careful when you weld that half chassis to the rest of the chassis.
I checked and double checked all the dimensions when i did ours, but it has not worked out right.
Now that i have the bulkhead, wings, rear tub and doors fitted, the door gap is around 5/8" between the doors and rear tub.
I am currently cutting it back around 3/8" and re-welding.
This is after doing the original welding some 9 years ago.

Steve.
