Title: Autosparks - Delivery times, heads up
Post by: GAHC on July 13, 2021, 11:02:17 AM
About a month ago I ordered a negative earth battery cable set. Chased them up yesterday as it still hasn't been delivered, had an email this morning saying they had no stock so the parts need to go into production and the estimated lead time is 16 weeks from order! I have asked to cancel it and source elsewhere - yet to pick up a response to this. Pretty poor, no mention that it wasn't in stock when ordering - they take payment then don't keep the customer informed.

Any good alternatives (assuming I get my money back!)

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the wiring harness company. Great service, very quick and competitive price from memory.

Speak to Adam, I don't know how busy he is right now but his turnaround for a full harness was about 3 weeks when I ordered mine in December 2020

They do seem to be very busy. We ordered a series III loom in October and it was into February before we received it. I then found out the heater blower motor loom wasn't part of the standard loom but didn't want to wait again for one to be made so used the one from the old loom as it was in pretty good shape.

If it is the battery cables you are after you could make them yourself. Car builder solutions or vehicle wiring products will sell the cable by the metre and suitable ends allowing you to cut them to length and solder the terminals on.

Craig.

Just this moment had an email saying they can get it done this week.... that's based on it being a small item to manufacture. Pretty sure this would't be the case for a whole loom

Thanks for the other links
