Only viewing would tell, but if it is as described, its certainly worth that much easily. Its worth almost that much as parts...

I always wonder about rust when buying from sea side areas and when you see pictures of it near or even used by salt water.
I bought a 86" on Anglesey that had been used to take a boat down to the sea :shakeinghead
but it did give me a good engine and some other parts but the metal work :shakeinghead

If I were to be really picky, I'd flag that it states that it has the original engine. That's certainly not the original rocker cover and it looks like a bit of a heavy breather to me from the oil dribbling down out of the top breather. Still - a nice example of an early LWT.

One has to wonder though about the corrosion issues if the Royal Marines had it in early life as I bet that was an early test vehicle.

Its still a fair price though.

And what about the tape on the top hose?

Nice paint job outside, but the engine bay looks a bit of a mess.

Two much more complete, correct and original examples of early 2a Lightweight have sold on eBay in the past year or so for significantly less.

From looking at the pictures the paint job is pretty poor and appears to have been slapped on over rust in some places such as the door tops. It is missing a lot of the early detail parts which will be both difficult and expensive to source. I can't see the dataplates either.

Personally I wouldn't touch it at half the asking price!.
