The next Oxford pub meet will be at 7.00pm Thursday 20th October at the Victoria Arms, Mill Lane, Oxford, OX3 0QA. It’s a picturesque riverside pub with an interesting Civil War history, it also serves excellent food. It will be great to get a few old Land Rovers come along, they don’t necessarily have to be Series 2 although most have been so far.

The evenings are starting to get longer and the weather a bit better so now would be a great time to start bringing your Landy out to play and where better than by the river this Thursday 20th April at the Victoria Arms, Old Marston, Oxford OX3 0QA. We might be able to sit outside as well.

I’ve had no response about the Oxford pub meet tonight and Brian can’t make it this month either so I’m going to postpone this months pub meet until next month when hopefully the better weather will encourage more people to attend. Apologies to anyone who was thinking of coming along.

Yes and we are having a bit of a special event this week. Bertie the Bonnet is coming to the pub meet at the Victoria Arms and is arriving by punt along the River Cherwell. What could possibly go wrong?
We are also meeting up early at Kingsley Refuel Cafe near Eynsham OX29 4EF. Kingsley Engineering is a specialist Land Rover restoration company who have recently opened a petrol head themed cafe which I am assured is well worth a visit. We are planning to meet there around 4-4.30pm for an hour or so before moving the bonnet on to the Cherwell Boat House and then taking the bonnet upstream to the Victoria Arms by punt. I have reserved a separate room in the Vicky because there should be a larger than usual attendance. The Refuel Cafe are quite excited about a number of Series 2s turning up.
The pub meet should start around 6.30-7pm although everyone is invited to the Refuel Cafe if they can make it.

The next Oxford pub meet will be at 7.00pm this Thursday 15th June at the Victoria Arms, Mill Lane, Oxford, OX3 0QA. We had a very good turnout last month when we ferried the bonnet about on a punt. It will be great to get a few old Land Rovers come along, they don’t have to be Series 2 although most have been so far. See you all on Thursday.
