We've tried ... a few years back they did "allow" members of car clubs to go on the "list".
You have to prove that you are associated with the motor trade.

I guess it depends on how their sales are going ???
What is the required proof, and can this be fudged ???
Based on the number of emails and the decline in all retail sales I suspect sales are not going that well :shakeinghead

It's a bit like B&Q trade cards, I suspect staff have quotas to meet and if you are there on the right day you'll sign you uk for anything.

I have a couple of friends who have Halfords Trade cards but not in the trade.

For me Halfords is a last ditch place on Sunday afternoon, their tools are good but service parts and oil are cheaper at normal motor factors.

The Halfords classic oil is cheaper than the duckhams, I've used it the last few years and my engine is spotless inside to the extent I struggle to see the oil level on the dipstick.

The only benefit I can see in using that Duckhams would be nostalgia.

I'm still brainwashed by the adverts of my youth:

Castrol GTX is liquid engineering.
Fairy bubbles last longer then other liquids.
Persil washes whiter than white.
Pedigree Chum is solid nourishment.
8 out of 10 cats prefer mice (did I remember that one correctly?)
Do the shake and vac.
I'm a secret lemonade drinker, except I'm not because I gave it up in favour of beer and wine. :cheers

Good morning,

More about oil.

Do you have views on Mannol Safari?

All 20 litres, 20/50 mineral, delivered to my home in France.

Mannol 33 euros
Castrol 100 euros
Comma MOT 75 pounds
Miller Classic 128 pounds

What to do?

Kind regards,

Thanks for the feedback on Mannol.

I actually got the price wrong, it is 66 euros for 20 litres and 33 euros for 10 litres, but still the best price by far out of the options I have.
