.... or:-

The Peter Principle is a concept in management developed by Laurence J. Peter, which observes that people in a hierarchy tend to rise to their "level of incompetence":

Used to bash in to it all the time. Used to call it the 'Car cleaner' syndrome, any decision went down the line to the most unsuitable manager who would have no other choice than try to make the right choice. I loved making decisions, promoted up the line very fast, then I started my own company. Not sure if I went Up hill or Down hill after that.. :neener :neener

I checked them out. The business is run from a private house in Redhill, Surrey. Paul Halley does all the production and manufacturing while his wife Debbie, does the management side. It appears the work is done in a garage.

Been waiting for despatch of a single brake pipe (bean can to brake CV master part 564785) since 21 July when I got an automatic order confirmation - but no communication since.
Last week phone was ringing out, but today engaged. Perhaps they have been on holiday?
It would have been useful if they'd put something up on the website if they have been away and nobody has been manning the business.
I'll wait, as to be honest I can't find any other suppliers for a pre-bent part 564785. I don't to have to bend it myself.

It does seem totally random. I previously ordered a part 11/7, nothing happened until 20/7 when I emailed to ask when it might despatch, and then it was instantly despatched and arrived pretty much the next day. I wonder if they have been on holiday since then?

To be fair, they have a well documented history of this. Copper ones are easy enough to bend yourself.

Ordered an O ring (relatively hard to find) and they wanted £6 to post it.

Had to order it on Craddocks (!?)

Nor will the S2C ...

1/4" copper tube is sold in short lengths on ebay - I've just bought some from

auction: #111342801030

Automec sell the fittings.

Just bend the tubes yourself.
You can get a useful small pipe bender from eBay auction: #283908335117 for little money. Easy to use and will do a good job.
Then you need a 1/4" flaring tool. Machine Mart do a basic pipe flaring kit.
Brake Pipe Flaring Kit

or ... A good car accessory or motorsport shop will bend the pipes while-U-wait.

(If you are really stuck I could bend some for you.)

I thought about making it myself and I am probably going to make my own 3/8 pipes when the time comes. But I was away home, and the outlay of the tools to make just a single 6 inch long 1/4 pipe etc, and the tight bends, meant the prebuilt pipe seems a good option. It was only £13 or so plus a few quid postage.

The package has now arrived and to be fair, it looks to be spot on. I think it was despatched on 5th and I just found it today at the office reception, after I'd finally got through on the phone and spoken to Paul. It seems a bit random, as he wasn't sure if it had been despatched or not when I first asked and he looked as his spreadsheets. I got the "your item has been despatched" email about an hour after I'd found the parcel this morning, and spoken to him.

So, a bit random in terms of timing, but the part looks spot on.
