Title: Round Smiths Heater Colour
Post by: PTT on February 19, 2020, 05:44:35 PM
Good afternoon.

1965 88" diesel canvas top.

Please could someone confirm whether the heater front was matt, satin or gloss black?

It is difficult to tell on mine.

Kind regards.

Stephen

The correct colour is black wrinkle finish. Here is mine!

Yup, Blank wrinkle finish.
The post about steering wheel centres shows a good option if you can find it, VHT crinkle paint.

Mine still had the original paint over 90% of it's surface so rather than re-crinkle it I sprayed it with gloss black over the top of the old finish. The crinkle is quite subtle in places, maybe it was more worn than I originally thought?
