I’m more interested in where you actually got the bumper!

Where did you get it?

Well, there is a question...

I finished restoring this Land Rover back in 200 so I think it came from Paddock spares but chances are made by a supplier that doesn't exist any more.

It is a nice bumper, looks good and sturdy material just the starter hole lets it down a bit and screams, "Non genuine!!!" every time I look at it.

What are you going to do about the 3 holes in the top to take the number plate support?  Introduced with the headlights in the wing!

No holes in this bumper, should there be?

The diameter of the centre hole/aperture is 20mm ( obviously there's a pressed inwards lip so the hole would need to allow for this) the 2 side holes are 13mm dia.
The pressed in 'rim' of the centre hole depth is 5.5 mm from front face of bumper to the sharp inner edge.
Judging by the rest of the donor vehicle I'd say this bumper was likely original to the late 70s 109, so presumably what was being fitted then anyway.
Hope it's of help.

Thanks for the pictures. I seem to remember the recess being deeper than that but maybe not.

Thanks again, very useful photos. If I get anywhere with the press tool ideal I'll post a picture.
