Title: Re: Towing a caravan with 88” S2a?
Post by: w3526602 on January 25, 2021, 08:16:10 AM
Hi,

I recently mentioned (perhaps here) driving my Moskvitch van towing a 12ft caravan from Swansea to Croydon. As we approached the Severn Bridge, Barbara asked if she could have a go, so I pulled into the Aust Service Station, and we swapped seats.

As we approached London, I was aware that she kept looking at me. It was obvious that she wasn't going to ask ... and I wasn't going to offer.

We eventually arrived at my parents house in Thornton Heath (West Croydon), which probably involved about 20 to 25 miles of Saturday Morning London traffic, including Tooting and Balham High Streets.

That was the first time she had towed. Character building!

PS. I have watched Barbara and police sergeant standing in the middle lane of the M4, traffic passing both sides, wagging fingers in each others faces. Poor bloke didn't know what he was up against.
