Ok due to dads (Oldun) deteriating health and mums ongoing disability it has become apparent that the pets are going to become an issue.
So Ginger needs a new home. Before I ship him off to the Blue Cross I will try asking here.
Anyone want a cat
He's 14years old, an indoor cat, he will go out if you let him but he has no road sense.
Neutered, micro chipped, no known medical issues. Tray trained.
Good with kids and older dogs. Not good with other cats. Loves to play.
Anyone interested give us a PM

I shall ask the boss.

I really do hope you can sort him out, poor old fella...we've got 3 rescue cats already ( plus a gang of bouncy dawgs) otherwise I'd say yes...
-
It is a shame, but needs must.
Poor old sod may be 14 but he still thinks he is a kitten... On the + side when he gets really annoying you can just screw up a piece of paper and throw it, he'll go and play football with it.
Anyway I don't class him as old... He is but as our last two moggies Jessica and Tabbyfur (pronounced Tabitha ???) before him made it to 24 and 26 respectively he's got years in him yet

Afraid I don't know anyone (and he won't cope with our 16yr old cat, much as she wouldn't cope with him).
Can I suggest Cats Protection rather than Blue Cross? They are very good at re-homing even older cats and will keep them in foster care as long as necessary - their policy is never to put down a healthy animal.

I'd agree the Cats Protection is would be my first port of call, we currently have 4 rescue cats all from Cats Protection,
-
Cats protection, ok :tiphat
I have time, so I'll try and get him straight into a home first.

Oh dear, I would have had him but we have 2 cats, such a shame he doesn't get on with others. . Hope someone has room for him.
Calum.

If you contact cat's protection they will advertise for you on thier sites which will help!
That's how we found our two moggies who were still s their original home.

How far away from us are you. We are wanting a ginger tom. Our original one was run over and killed 2 years ago. We will have him and spoil him rotten. Contact me if this is feasible.
-
I would happily take him, as would my wife, as we lost both our cats recently. Unfortunately, we have her parents living with us, and they’re a pair of miserable old so-and-sos, and I have not yet managed to get a yes or a no out of them. Personally, I’d far sooner have the cat than the in-laws. Would you do a swap?

I have a hard time dealing with my girlfriends parents without borrowing some more, sorry :agh
Like I say, there's no rush yet

If the cat moved in, do you think the in-laws would move out.... :whistle

Here’s hoping.

It's a long way from North Yorks. to Kent but if you can't get him a place a bit nearer to you our offer still stands. I suppose we could work out the logistics somehow.
-
Well they just delivered dads new bed and equipment and its now blatantly obvious that this house is no longer suitable for their needs. Looks like a move is on the way.
The cat will have to go, the dog is on shakey ground to now.

Sadly, the official response from the geriatrics is a firm no. :'(
