DIY Series Grill? Lot of work to make easier to but an original :RHD

It's not DIY. It's a real part. Iirc it's froma military ffr vehicle but hopefully as people crossover somone will be along shortly to post a correction! ;)

It's a "toastrack" grill from the early Fitted For Radio (FFR) Rover Mk8 and 9 (military version of the 2a 88" and 109" respectively). It was only fitted to the early vehicles, 1962-64, which had the 40 amp 24 volt electrical system and it was necessary to protect the Selenium rectifier which was fitted between this grill and the oil cooler.
From 1965 onwards FFR's had a different 90amp, 24v system and these grills were no longer required.
The mesh grill pictured with it is not correct, the military grill doesn't have the opening for the bonnet catch.
