Out of business?
« on: December 08, 2022, 10:29:01 PM »

My link for Vintage motor spares no longer works, http://www.vintagemotorspares.com/phdi/p1.nsf/supppages/hodge?opendocument&part=6.   Did they go out of business? I don't find them on a goooooooooooooooogle search. Was good for lighting parts.

Hi,

Try Googling THE COMPLETE AUTOMOBILIST (could be spelled COMPLEAT), ask for their mail order catalogue, which is full of interesting things, such as stand alone horn buttons, and similar odds and sods from bygone eras.

Hi again,

Keying SWITCHES, for instance, into their website produces this, at a scarey price .....

for an alternative in the uk try https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/about-us who are based near me in Malvern,  Worcestershire and are generally pretty good. They have bought up a number of "well known" small vintage/classic car parts suppliers, e.g Paul Beck, SVC the complete automobilist, flexolite, classic bulbs.

Hi,

Everyone should have an old copy of CLASSIC (and Thoroughbred) Car in their "library" .... just to reference the adverts ... like acid dipping body shells ... or bulkheads.
