Looking through the June 2008 LROI magazine, I was struck by the very large number of adverts for LR business`s offering their service`s & selling all kinds of stuff. A sign of the times I suppose when the WWW hadn't taken off like it has now, where it`s so much easier and probably cheaper to advertize.
Just one example - (always remembering everything is relative to incomes of the time).

A couple of articles caught my eye. Greg Thorne, related the rebuild of DAZ 442, his 1961 88". Our club logo can be seen on the front of the n/s wing. I wonder if Greg is a member and still has DAZ.
In the section called Readers
wives, sorry Land Rovers, and titled -
Calum`s Cat-awagon, was SPJ 623F a 1967 109" with the 2.6 six-cylinder engine. The owner was a 16 year-old chap called Calum. Ring any bells? Calum 6930, are they one and the same
