Last night we watched a 1965 Sci-Fi movie called, "Crack in the World" where a half-dozen Series 2's/2a's first helped scientists nuke the earth's mantle, then to nuke it again to stop the world from coming apart due to the cracks they caused by the first nuke (a second moon was formed in the blast however!).

It was kind of like a live-action "Thunderbirds".

All the double-skinned hardtops were of a type I've seen on this forum before, with very large side windows, no rear side glass, and a rear door with rectangular form and sharp corners rather than the usual shape. IMDB says it was filmed in Spain, so maybe they were Santanas? Did Santana make Land Rovers in 1965? There's a photo there of the Land Rovers.

The topless 88" they used to chase a train cross-country appeared to be have a flat front apron, screwed vent flap hinges, and 2WD.

I've never seen a full-length film featuring so much Series 2 action.

Depending on your TV services you may be able to find it, yet. We recorded it from a UK channel called "Film4" last Saturday afternoon.

“stop the train! " they shout from a mile away... Expecting  the train driver to hear them, even though he hasn't noticed the landside 100 yards away 

I do love a good B movie though... Wonder if its on Netflix?
