Hi
I hope we haven't lost fg and another forum member crashbox
Which his post hasn't been active for ages, down to earth people, down to earth land rover owners, (not full of their own $##t .He came across on his post
not as a sad
but as a very knowledgable person ,but found nothing wrong to adapt your land rover to how YOU wanted it but to preserve early and original land rovers of all variety. He wasn't afraid on his opinion about the use of a useable second hand chassis to keep a series on the road if needs must in a senseable manner ,not to tell the world
and his friends ,instead of following the masses I MUST GET A "NEW GALVANIZED CHASSIS " at the first sight of rust, ok a sensible opition if you have the finances, but is the home mechanic,fabricater/welder, working on his driveway (havn't all got a garage )coming a thing of the past ?? To me in lr owner /lr monthly /and classic lr magazine more and more articles where a person (more money than sense) to get in to the up and coming land rover series trendy scene has brought a land rover and paid a business to do all the work and then show of their so called handy work "look all my own work "Beckham springs to mind photographed a couple of months back
proper land rover owners have oil and grease on their hands ,bruised knuckles they have worn the boilersuit to prove it .rant over .
Ok not eveyone is tard with the same brush just my opinion in the real world.
