Village of the Damned
« on: August 18, 2019, 01:19:45 AM »

Just started watching the 1960 movie 'Village of the Damned'.

There is a '48 S1 80".  Here is what IMCDB has to say about it.

Another early Land-Rover 80" Series I (1948-50).
It is quite possible that this is an original military (RAF) version. The MOD started evaluating LRs with two pre-production vehicles and bought another 20 in 1948. A first batch of 1878 vehicles were purchased in 1949, followed by many more. The military registration numbers for the first batch ran from [00BC01] to [18BC78]. If the numberplate shown here [21AE/F..] is correct it is either one of the first 22 or one produced in 1950.

Mpudi: So how did the land rover get up the tree?
Steyn: Do you know she has flowers on her panties?
Mpudi: So that's how it got up the tree.
