Just wondering about FedEx
« on: August 26, 2019, 04:38:12 PM »

Got my latest delivery from Paddocks the other day, as I have been doing for many years. I was surprised to get it from a DHL van. Since I can remember, it has been coming by FedEx.

Over the years I have got friendly with my FexEx driver, he only lives down the road, and the van is always outside his house.........   The van has been missing lately, and a friend told me today that he has been made redundant . What a shame.
Has something happened to FedEx ?

Pretty sure I've seen FedEx vans around in the last few days....
..delivery stuff seems to vary randomly as to what firm brings it, that's my impression anyway.

Fedex still going here.

Lots of companies now 'share' their parcels so as not to have all their eggs in one basket, the delivery industry is now so competitive and unpredictable these days, its unbelievable to how it used to be.

I should know being a white van man myself.  :cool

When I placed my order with Craddock I was told they would be shipping FedEx, but the invoice listed a different company.  When asked, they said FedEx bought that company; that company still uses its own name, but is now part of FedEx.

FedEx are owned by TNT - and what a load of useless *&%^$ they are, yes they are cheap but that's for a reason. I prefer DHL as they have a better network globally - but occasional they do screw up as well.
