Members can easily check the details of their membership using the link on the Club Website:  www.series2club.co.uk and follow the "Membership" link, there is a purple coloured button "edit your profile" next to the Join & Renew buttons.

...but yes, your membership was recently renewed !

We also have a link to the online membership system where you can check your membership details in the very top section of this forum.

So you never forget - why not set up a Direct Debit payment  ???

Better for you, better for us.

Hi,

Would lapse of membership prevent one from asking that question ... on this forum?

No need to be a member to post questions on here, there are many that do. Is that what you meant?

Hi Hobson,
I'm also heading towards the confusing age,but found it very easy to set up the Direct Debit payment as recommend by Wittsend.

Do we still get a reminder when membership is due for renewal as I think mine is in June but like others cannot see how to check or pay this, on my profile it says August?

Hi, I checked against your record and happily your membership is paid up until the end of the month. The membership system will have sent you an email reminder at the start of the month and round about now, two weeks later ? They might be in your Spam folder ? It'll provide a link to the system where you will be able to pay by debit or credit card, by Direct Debit, Paypal or Cheque.

As a reminder to other readers - The "Membership" link is also on the very front page of the club website at www.series2club.co.uk

We now email the basic reminder as its far cheaper than the post, when even a second class stamp costs 65p. (Its also a lot less labour-intensive, people might not have realised that on the old system Dave Snape was spending anything up to 3-4 days a week processing applications, renewals and cards.) If the email does not work then I post out reminders to those who have gone "overdue" for whatever reason - email gone to spam, and old email address, typo or whatever. The system then "Lapses" a member when they go more than 3 months overdue and they drop off the system.  It seems to be working, membership is increasing month on month, over 2000 now and only 78 overdue as at today. A key point is that the need to post stuff out and for people to post stuff back has decreased dramatically, no need for paper membership forms to be printed and returned etc. …..but I still can and do process payments by cheque - I get maybe a dozen a month ?. I've identified those members who don't have access to email ( less than 100 from 2000) and they do get a reminder by post.

Sorry for being a bit long-winded !

Cheers,

Gene

It hasn't sent me any reminders, but I've just paid. I wonder if it has my old email in the membership records?

Members details change all the time.

With our new online membership system individual members can check their "profile".
You can change your details very easily; address, phone number, email AND check when your renewal is due.
You can add the club's email address to your white list of emails so they'll go straight to your inbox.
You can add your own reminder to the calendar on your smart phone/tablet.
But best of all - set up a direct debit mandate  :first

It's as simple as using this forum !

You know when something is wrong when you stop receiving your regular copies of Built 2 Last  :thud

Club membership is a fantastic bargain...
One of the cheapest national car club subscriptions out there with the best club magazine.
Subs are less than 6 pints of beer or half a tank of fuel !
