So true Alan.
Just had my builder mate over.
Prob don’t need planning.
Suggested a timber frame made by chippy and concrete skin, however wood has shot up in price recently, so double block may be the answer?

Treated timber will outlast most of us, given the Clubs demographic...  :-X

Base, 150mm concrete slab over a layer of DPM. Layer of block to lift the walls a bit higher above ground level,
Walls, 150mm timbers, 9mm sterling board skin, covered with "log" outer. 2.4 m high
Roof, 150mm timbers, 18mm sterling board, Onduline sheeting, with transparent sheets as "skylights".  Recycled window let into the end wall. Under 4m at the apex.

All done by a mate and I, bar getting a truck-load of ready-mix for the slab.  10 m long, 6m deep.   If I did it again I'd make the doors a bit wider.

I'm not totally daft, some bits are missing

I started to chat to planing and building control . Limited success but generally confirming the box d I have to work in.

Less that 50% of garden. Easy to fulfill.
Heights and boundary clear enough.
Will prob be on the 40 sq m break point for building regs but happy to do building regs a as when I come to sell it will certify things.
