That radiator outlet is one of the differences between early and late rads, just buy a new hose.

Only one more hour taken to put the new rad on this morning.  But I guess I should also count the two hours yesterday making a captive nut plate for the left hand side.....and the time to get the new hoses that I thought I’d get away without!
Current outlook for the 2 hour job is about a week 🥴. 
At least there’s nowhere to go at the moment.
