That's the type Paulie. The extended breather pipe can be hooked high on the chassis. No spring loaded ball bearing to stick. Just ensure the breather holes in the bolt and banjo line up.

I bought them complete from Dunsfold some time ago
They're easily available  from the usual suppliers.

............Just ensure the breather holes in the bolt and banjo line up.
No need, the bolt is waisted to allow flow.

I know we are continuing somewhat OT here, but even with raised Defender type axle breathers, you can still have problems. often they still bung up with congealed grease round the bottom of the thread or along the inside top of the axle casing. Raised ones still need servicing even if its just to take them out and ensure the hole in the axle casing is clear. Also as far as I am aware, the original brass breathers were not spring loaded - it's just a steel ball bearing inside there which pops up when pressurised and reseats using gravity only to hold it in place. This is why they should be washed out in petrol regularly and shaken to make sure the ball is free and the breather can vent.

Finally got round to rebuilding the gearbox I had off MikeT on exchange. Couldn't save the transfer box, but now have a 251 suffix "a" box as a useful spare. Just did bearings, seals and the bronze 2nd / 3rd bush, but its nice and sorted. Gave me an excuse to get my beloved Wellseal out! :first

If anybody needs an early box, I might consider selling it, so by all means PM me if one is needed. There is no transfer box though.

That’s a nice tidy bench diffwhine, makes mine look like a scrapyard. On the few occasions I’ve tidied it all up it’s only taken one ‘session’ in there to return to its previous state .

I should confess that it isn't always like that... My bench can look like its been hit by an InterCity sometimes.

Exactly.
Strongly agree.
It is best to review them periodically.
And yes, the original vents are not spring loaded.
Greetings.
