I would say they're suitable and have a practice before committing.

That's what I was thinking.

If you go to shows or events where the parking is in a grass field which has been rained on for days then when you pull off the temporary track way on to the muddy bit and give the 200TDi a little throttle, flaps would have saved the parking attendant from having to leap sideways and the following car from being sprayed with mud (shouldn't have been so close).

simple way to avoid mud flaps being ripped off... make them a bit shorter so they cant reach the wheel and be trapped when reversing!
i have made my ones hang approx 250mm of the ground very unlikely to cause issue.

I was lucky with my mud flaps in that they have cast yellow letters and they are made of polyurethane so they will out last me!

I sandwiched them between two lengths of angle and drilled them through so they are well held.

I like them for keeping the vehicle cleaner, and I like the look on the Dormobile. But I curse them when I'm working underneath. They always seem to be exactly in the way of what I'm trying to reach or see.

Now I've seen it all...

The guy either had two sets and sold one, or lowered the price.  It was active not too long ago.

Yes they do.

Which leads to a question...

When the flaps, with 'Land Rover' on them, were first produced were they pre-made with the lettering colored yellow or white?

When I first saw the one for £599.99 the first thing that came to my mind was that the guy priced them so high for that reason.

I reckon the yellow ones must have been gold plated then.

I have a recollection that when I first fitted mud flaps to mine in the 1990's, they had the yellow lettering. Some years later after ripping them off too many times in ruts, I decided to renew them. I discovered that I could no longer buy the ones with yellow lettering. Apparently Land Rover had muttered about their trademark or something, so I have had to make do with the black lettering ever since.

I dont have them on the land rover but I do on the camper, they are made from the anti-spray stuff they use for lorry mudflaps and are stiffe enough not to flap about.
