Where to buy FRC7577 (Wheel stud 60 mm long)
« on: April 29, 2021, 02:41:48 PM »

Hello everybody.
I need to buy 25 long wheel bolts FRC 7577
I see that there are several providers, any recommendations?  ???

They are not cheap, and ordering them from this corner of the world is inexpensive, which is why I ask opinions.
I will use them to put Modular rims on my IIA series.   (I have a new Series III hub)
Thanks  :cheers

First question is - are you sure you need them ?  For fitting "Wolf" Rims to earlier military Landrovers the MOD simply required the wheel nuts to be torqued up tighter.  The result was that the nut just sat flush with the top of he stud, no thread sticking out.

How do the modulars you plan to use compare ?

Wouldn't a 60cm wheel bolt stick out of the nut by nearly two feet?

Yes, with 60 cm it would look like a Roman chariot-  :thud

Excuse me, I meant 60mm  :shakeinghead

I would like to fix the title, but I don't know how.  ???

The wheels that I have are not the Wolff, they are the Modular ones, but I think they have the same problem, I will build a mass and confirm before, it is not too much.
Greetings.

Just a thought.  Could you fit either https://www.paddockspares.com/pm225-zinc-plated-wheel-nut.html for 16mm wheel studs or https://www.paddockspares.com/217361-wheel-nut-15-16in-1949-1969.html for the older type, but have the top nipped off with a lathe ?

just thinking like
