After having to wait for weeks, months or maybe years after episode 34, they finally released episode 35, then just 9 days later Episode 36 arrives.

I don’t think that we’re ever going to see that completed. I strongly suspect that they have realised that they’ve stepped so far into the “notifiable alterations” area of HGV modification, with the suspension, steering and axle revisions, as well as definite Q-plate territory, which will negate any benefits that would originally have been had from using the D reg Cargo as a starting point.

That, and the fact that, as a professional motorsport company, they’d not be able to get away with keeping it as a class IV, or private HGV, they’d have to run it on a restricted O license and keep to a maintenance schedule and driver’s hours limits.

Glen,

Interesting. You would think that they would have investigated all that kind of thing at the outset? Binky seems to show that forethought and planning was one of their strong points.

Most people have no idea how prescriptive the world of heavy goods vehicles is.

All that mucking about to save a few hundred kilos. They’d have been better off taking an LGV test and buying a bigger lorry.
