For those who are/were in the UK military, and were puzzled by which way to assemble their webbing belt ... a sort of memnonic that I learned at square-bashing (Boot Camp), but I suppose the same applies when you are feeding a leather belt through the loops on your trousers.

OT ... Men's clothes have the buttons on the right, because most men are right handed ... and dress themselves.

Women, on the other hand, would be "dressed" by their lady's maid, also right handed, but facing the other way. (Does anybody here remember when women buttoned their jeans on the left hip?)

Gentlemen walk on the "outside" when escorting a lady, probably to take the brunt of passing carriages splashing through puddles. But armies marched on the left of the road, so that their sword arm was nearest the enemy on the other side the road ... until Napoleon Bonepart started to fight dirty, and marched on our side. (and still does).

Military connotations with Major. My great great great uncle twice removed was shot for cowardice during the first world war. Any connection with the military triggers me.

The one thing about all these different "genders"is the fact they are made/created by the grace of God by only Two genders aka male and female.

There is something in my memory banks about our late Queen pardoning deserters from the Great War, but was that all deserters? Or those who had not been caught, but were still living under the threat of arrest? This may have been a charitable gesture, at the time of her coronation? It was a long time ago.

There's probably a bit of truth in the above statements. Can anyone clarify?

The US Air Force Acadamy cadets are being told to address people in ways that “include all genders” — dropping the use of “boyfriend or girlfriend” and even “mom and dad.”

Our military is becoming a joke and mainly wanting 'woke' recruit from now on.
