Hello dear Series II enthusiasts.
I have registered today on the forum, although not having actually any Series II rolling and also had my membership on the Club suspended for sometime... But I will be back :)
These days I am more related with the Series I, but I really love all LR's specially those from 1948 to 1966/7...

The reason I am posting here is to try to get help finding a way to find the leaflet that Solex issued for the Carburettor B40 PA10-5/6 the Series II/IIa used.

I have searched everywhere and only found the page concerning the exploded view, but I think the leaflet have 4 pages with the description of the parts in English and French... (like the one I have for the 32 PBI-2).

So, if anyone have a clue about where to find (buy) one, I will appreciate very much the help.

And I am always available to help about anything concerning the Land-Rover's built on the time frame I told before that I love, as I have during my life dedicate long time studying these beauties.

Also I am a happy man, who can celebrate the fact to be born on a special time: when Land-Rover have simultaneously Series One and Series Two on Solihull works :)

It might be worth contacting BFS in Salisbury, England ( https:// burlen.co.uk) who took over Solex and Zenith carburettors.

I believe that I know which leaflet you are looking for, and I think I got a copy of it on my computer at home.
I'll have a look tonight when I get home and put it in this thread if no-one beats me to it.

I also got a PDF called "selection and tuning of the carburettor"
It's not written specifically for the B40 but it's detailed instructions and illustrations are applicable to it.
The forum doesn't allow me to upload it but instead sends me to "create a new thread" page
Perhaps the file size is to big? (16Mb)
Hopefully we can work something out on this as I think that it might be a nice resource to keep on the forum.
