Damper Bushes.
« on: July 27, 2021, 02:31:16 PM »

I need to replace the suspension top & bottom damper bushes all round.

Presumably the standard bushes are available from the 'addocks and other usual suspects?

Just wondering about Polybushes as opposed to the standard rubber ones.  Any views and suggestions will be welcomed before I start the ordering.......

Personally I would go for the black rubber versions.
They are 24p each from Paddocks so even if you replace them every few years, that isn't exactly expensive.

I've had zero success with Polyurethane bushes and refuse to fit them now.

agree, stick with the black rubber.

Poly bushes on shock absorbers are not a great fit! when the suspension is crossed up (on wheel in one out on the same axle) the shock angle changes, the poly bushes will not handle this motion very well.

i am considering poly bushes on the shackles and springs, main becuase you can get greaseable versions... but for now ill stick with the vulcanized black rubbers ones also  :cheers

Thanks guys!  I intended to go with the black rubber bushes as that’s what’s on there now, but just wanted to once again use the collective wisdom of this forum in case there was a better option.
