Half a Station Wagon -S3
« on: June 27, 2021, 11:01:14 AM »

Spotted this "rare" S3 on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234065717500?hash=item367f6768fc:g:-cgAAOSwx-Bg1f0b

It used to look like this https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/14427/lot/42/

Apparently it was bought as is, so where is the other half?

OK, S3, but still seems a bit of a waste :shakeinghead

Also, the apparent complete lack of seat belts might be a teensy problem when you are out posing in it.

And only asking £28,750 more than the full one cost, what a bargain……….

Question... What is so special about that vehicle that gained it a place in the Heritage Centre collection for 30 years?
What would possess somebody to think that making it a convertible was a good idea? If its a heritage vehicle, it must have been there for a reason.
I just don't understand why somebody would do that to what looks like a perfectly practical vehicle.
