Boss Hogg is the bad guy in the Dukes of Hazzard. Like most things in that series probably not going to be allowed on UK roads though.

There was a rival tyre firm to michelin who of course used the bibendum character.

The rival used a similarly sized viking but the company name escapes me.

These thoughts came to mind due to the original rover viking mascot post and things that you are unlikely to see these days adorning you vehicle frontage.

Mascots were popular when cars had an obvious place to nail a mascot. The radiator cap.
