Films to watch while in Lockdown
« Reply #15 on: March 26, 2020, 04:35:29 PM »

To be fair, some places do call any 4x4 a 'jxxp', much like we might call any vacuum cleaner a Hoover.

Early series of Death in Paradise did that, not so much recently.
The fun thing to look out for in DiP is 'filler' shots filmed long ago with the original 110 with steel wheels when they've been driving round the island in a 110 with alloys.

The Italian Job has a Land Rover. Can't remember what series off the top of my head though. I also enjoy Geoffrey Croker on YouTube. He restores a series 3 but a lot of it is relevant and brilliantly filmed.

The Italian Job has a Land Rover.

It does indeed  :first

... and there's another in the Michael Caine film ... The Ipcress File
... and in (the original) Get Carter
... and nothing in Zulu except the Land Rover tyre tracks in the sand  :thud

Four great action films to watch  :first

.... well actually there is Land Rover content in Ice Cold in Alex.

Right at the end, there is a Series 1 parked in the street - and I think there's a Morris Minor there too  :thud

Likewise. Patrick McGoohan was also in one of today's episodes of Columbo.

Decided I had seen Pulp Fiction too recently to watch again, so I think that's it for films for the night. I ought to get some work done anyway.
