The Dormobile took us up toward the Steingletscher to go mountain biking. Over-bonnet rack from Jabbawocky plus homemade bike carriers. You can still open the roof!

That's a very clever setup, all the better for being handcrafted  :first

Had a good day yesterday, put brake fluid in the clutch reservoir, bleed the system and with some trepidation started the engine and tried to find some gears, wah hey! forward then back and forward again without any problem. 14 years and the clutch hadn't stuck itself up. Had modified the slave cylinder to make bleeding easier and it certainly was.

Today, the front axle was removed to clean up and repaint plus two new brake cylinders for good measure and investigate a slight hub leak. Got the old springs removed and fitted the new springs to the chassis ready for the return of the axle.

Fitted cylinder head and valve rockers as engine rebuild nears completion. Gearbox next.

Bleed Nipple goes in at the end of the Copper pipe. That way, you can bleed from underneath without having to try and get your hands up and over the gearbox.

I suppose you could also route it back up to near the reservoir, be able to work standing up !

You could if you must, but there's still plenty of jobs that require you to go underneath.

Well thank you gentleman, I don't claim the originality of the idea but read it somewhere and I remember the struggle I had years ago when the flexy collapsed internally and I had a right old 'do' to replace it and then bleed the clutch so I did the mod when rebuilding Daisy on the new chassis.

Exactly what fitting do you use to screw the bleed screw into? Part number?

 :-\
Next time drain the swivels the night before the MoT.
There'll be enough oil in them to get you there and back.
You can then fill up with oil when you get home.

I give mine a wipe just round the corner of the MOT station.
