Enter that in Photo of the month.
If he could photoshop the rocket launcher out that would be even better

I'd vote for that as picture of the month!

Took the LR to get a new tap top from the DIY place. The hot tap on the bathroom sink was seized. This has been a problem for a long time. I then used tools I didn't have last time I tackled this job, a bigger hammer and cold chisel to shock the top out. That shifted it!

3rd and last coat of Paintman limestone paint applied to spare wheel, after having rubbed down and primed. Happy with end result.
As always took far longer than anticipated.

Thanks Martin, very kind !   Here is the state of play as at 6.30 tonight...

I'd better give it clean up before I take it to their workshop...  :-X

Fitted brake pipes yesterday. Re assembled the steering relay today. My tool is nowhere near as nice as the one I saw on the forum recently but it seemed to do the job. Although the relay is too tight and it takes more than 25kg on the arm thing to move it. I think I'll see if it beds in a bit first before I fix it...

Did you put oil in it? That is weigh too much effort to turn. I'd be extremely concerned.

Took my control panel off and repainted it while waiting for my carb parts to arrive. Very pleased with it until I realised I had swapped the wires over for the fuel gauge and temperature gauge. Took it off and swapped them over but this time managed to scratch the paint. Still now it looks 52 years old again.

In order to set my tappets, I thought I'd try a different approach. Made an angle gauge, fixed to the bumper, set to the starting handle. Got to be worth a punt!

As you can see, I've got the settings for the inlet/exhaust, that does two cylinders, then put the starting handle in the other way does the other two!

I work it with a big socket and ratchet and just watch the valves go up and down. If I go too far with one, I'll go all the way around again till I get it right. I never turn it backwards.

Me too ...

I have made this crank tool from a £1 Whitworth ring spanner with an extended handle.
I have an electric rad fan, so have quite a bit of room to work the spanner in the left hand and watch what the valves are doing.

That said, the old starting handle works fine and if you don't have an assistant to turn it you can nudge the handle round with your knee/leg.

Not knocking your ingenuity, if it works for you  :first

Yes it's jammed with ep90. I am a bit worried but now I have the tool I think I'll leave it until there's more than a 5 minute gap between rain showers. Hopefully something obvious will be wrong. Thanks for the concern anyway
