OT- Any upholstery experts out there?
« on: October 08, 2021, 10:14:16 PM »

I am currently restoring a 1952 Austin Somerset. I have managed to obtain some very good "skins" for the seats to fit to the existing Dunlopillo foam bases that sit on a solid base (much as a S2) The main difference is they have "pleats" that appear to be filled out with some sort of cotton wadding to make them stand out. Sew or glue to underside  ???

Anyone up on this or would it be easier (but a lot dearer) to leave this to an expert?

Methinks if it's just for you, consider it a learning experience, if for resale, let the expert do it.
