My 58 s2 in Switzerland

Welcome to the Forum anyway, and that's a great-looking S2 - and not a bad picture either.....

I happen to have an early Trooper wheel handy. 235/75 15. 28ish diameter.
Lots of older Japanese 4x4s used 15”.

Google will answer your tyre size queries , 235, 70 r16s are about 28 ins od,
The wheels well they would look good painted but not all *&%^$ and briny,
If you feel you can't live with shame and vilification of the purists  I will swap you for tubless defender steel rims,
Chris

I’ve just bought a set of Wolfrace Slot Mag alloy wheels for my 1969 2a 88” SW. ... They are 7.00” x 15” wheels. What size tyres will I need that are similar to 235/70r16?!

I'm sure there are other sites with similar functionality, but this is one I have stored.
Hopefully, by entering different tyre sizes you can see which 15 &16 inch sizes give a minimal difference.

Are you aware that Series  2 and 3 models destined for the USA were fitted with 15" wheels?
That was a more common wheel size in the USA, so there were a wider option of tyres available.
The original LR fit is listed as Road wheels 6L x 15 in., Goodyear ‘Ultra Grip’ tyres 7.10 in. x 15 in., which may give a starting point.

As Gibbo103 intimates, you may also have to work across the divide that is Imperial tyes sizes v Metric tyre sizes.

Not all tyres made to a given size have the same Turns per Mile, after selecting a tyre size you should look at the tyre manufacturers web site to establish the actual TPM.

Regards.

I have similar sized wheels on 300tdi discovery, but they are steel modular. It has 31x10.5 r15 which fill the wheel arch quite well. I should see how they look on the dormobile.

I see you are new to the Forum, and this may seem a strange 'welcome', but I also realise it is not obvious to a newcomer that the PoM competition is for pictures taken during the Month in question; in this case May 2021.

From your Introduction post I've formed the impression that your Switzerland visit occured earlier than that.

Sorry, either if I've misread your Introduction post, or seem a little 'severe'.

Regards.

Dear Sir,
I am appalled that you would consider fitting such monstrosities to a Series Land Rover.
Some of the finest automotive designers of their time who failed to get better more interesting jobs elsewhere,  stuck with a wheel designed decades earlier while creating your 2a.
I trust that the gods will strike you down for not leaving your Station Wagon as it left the factory and that children are crying everywhere as you destroy their motoring heritage.
Yours
Disgusted of Wyke.

Ps. Sorry I don't know the tyre size.

I’ve just bought a set of Wolfrace Slot Mag alloy wheels for my 1969 2a 88” SW. Not rivet counter correct by any means but I like them anyway as a period aftermarket fitment. They are in need of a refurb which will be done in due course, but they haven’t come with any tyres. They are 7.00” x 15” wheels. What size tyres will I need that are similar to 235/70r16?!

Pic below for reference!
